Mark Steinberg was born in Montreal, Quebec, and was raised in Montreal and New York City. The son of an accountant born in Montreal and a high school French teacher who was born in Poland in 1945 to Holocaust survivors, Mark Steinberg has been acting, dancing and singing since the age of three. He is a graduate of McGill University's Faculty of Law with Distinction. More recently, however, he has attended the William B. Davis Centre for Actors Study.
Mark's older brother was best friends in high school with Jonathan Goldstein who is an American-Canadian author, humourist and radio producer. Goldstein is known for his hilarious work on the radio programs This American Life and CBC's WireTap.Mark has been friends with John O'Riordan since they were in High School.Attended the Saidye Bronfman Centre for the Arts (now the Segal Centre for the Performing Arts).Is a fan of Liev Schreiber 's work.Clerked for Superior Court Judge Herbert Marx, previously the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Quebec.
